Contemporary Romances - The Hairdresser Diaries, 500 Days, and That Friend Thing

Love is a sneaky little bastard that creeps up on you and knocks you out when you least expect it. For Callie and Lucas, their love just might be the ultimate takedown…
After her mom’s accident, Callie was forced to drop out of school and take a job at the local bar to help her mom recover. Two years later, she’s still at the bar, and afraid she’s never going to make it out of town and have the career she’s dreamed of since she was five.
An old friend stumbles into her path after two years of absence. A friend Callie has had a crush on from the moment they first met. The only downside, he’s trying to recover from a broken heart.
Lucas thought his life was set. He had the girl of his dreams and well on his way to start settling down. That was until his girlfriend of two years decided she wasn’t ready for commitment. Destroyed from his break up, Lucas has a hard time getting his head on straight. After running into Callie, things seem to slowly start to fall back in place. Only Lucas’s heart can’t seem to catch up with his head.
Everyone knows that falling in love with your best friend is the worst thing you can do, but sometimes the heart wants what it wants and feelings have a way of springing up unannounced.
Can Callie overcome her fear of losing Lucas if she confesses how she really feels? Will Lucas’s heart heal enough to move on and discover love was staring him in the face the whole time? Or is their relationship doomed to be nothing more than that friend thing?

Casper Covington has his music, women, and pretty much anything he wants at his disposal. But the one thing that plagues his thoughts constantly is the one thing he can't have. The girl he met six months ago. A drunken, one night stand that he can't get out of his head. The only thing he remembers from that night is her green eyes and the ivy tattoo that stretched the length of her body. In his attempts to put an end to the tortuous dreams of the mysterious girl, Casper’s attention is caught by the new bartender. There’s just something so familiar about her that his need to get to know her becomes more troublesome than he expected.

Alexis Radcliff was raised by her four brothers making her as tough as nails on the outside, but on the inside she wants what every girl does – someone to love her, faults and all. She would be damned if she admitted that out loud and made a point to show she could use men just as easily as they used women. But when a sexy musician starts to show interest in Alex she has a hard time convincing herself to stay away. Alex knows everyone has secrets, but hers are the ones she doesn't want to share. But when she can no longer fight her feelings, her dark past slowly starts to unravel. Can true love conquer all? Or are past ghosts a haunting premonition of what lies ahead?

This book was pretty much an emotional roller coaster ride. I'll admit I cried with a few of the scenes while I wrote them. There were some parts where I had trouble with the characters and figuring out where I needed to go with the story. But once I finally got in tune with the characters I managed to get them on the right path and I couldn't be happier with this story. I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it. Stayed tuned, Greyson just might get his own story.

For Tatum, love has always been something to keep at a distance. It was easier and it was safer. As an independent young woman she is content to enjoy a life split casually between friends and her career. Her life changes one night when by chance she meets the mysterious Cole and finds herself irresistibly drawn to him. Almost instantly he leaves a lingering impression on her that is so perfect it's terrifying. Soon she isn’t sure what she wants and finds it impossible to get him off her mind. It’s everything about him. It’s the scent of him that lingers, the closeness of his breath, the slightest touch of his skin and the blue of his eyes that makes her very soul ache. The last thing she wants is to admit to love and the inevitable complications that come with it. But it isn’t long before her inability to reconcile what her heart wants sends her life spiraling out of her control and she becomes trapped in a dance of giving in and running away.

  1. Just finished, "500 Days" and thought it was a wonderful story. I did not a lot of misspelling, and think that you might want to have a professional editor proof your books. You may already have one by now. I loved the characters in this book and definitely plan to check out more of your work!
